BC community installing biomass heater at sports complex

Jan. 2, 2018 - The B.C. government is providing $160,000 to the District of Clearwater to install a wood-chip fuelled boiler system at a community sports complex.

The boiler, which will be installed by Enderby, B.C.’s Fink Machine, will replace an existing propane/hydro heating system. According to the Clearwater Times, the new system will save the community about $29,000 a year and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 62 tonnes per year.
